Ideas + Outcomes and Pull London. Central London, hybrid.

Two agencies, one creative team, four sectors.

Clients include Superdrug, Schwarzkopf, Eakin Healthcare, PJH Bathrooms. Brands with real distribution, real category pressure and real regulatory constraint. Much of it is complex. All of it matters.

We are looking for a Junior Creative / Art Director with at least 18 months experience in a creative or design agency, ready for more than execution.

THE QUICK VERSION

  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, depending on experience.
  • Hours: Full-time. Optional 9-day fortnight, so every other Friday off if you want it.
  • Location: Central London, hybrid. 3 days in the office, flexible hours 08:00-18:00.
  • Team: Small. You will work alongside senior creatives, be close to the decision-making and see your ideas become real work.
  • Reporting to: Associate Creative Director.

THE ROLE

You will develop ideas and art direct across both agency brands, working alongside senior designers, brand specialists, video producers, strategists and account managers. Briefs span advertising, campaigns, brand, digital, print, packaging, retail and film, from concept through to finished execution.

  • You find the idea: You turn briefs and strategic thinking into creative routes, campaign ideas and visual concepts. We want you to bring a thought, not just a response.
  • You make the idea real: Art direction, design, image-making, typography, film. You don't need to be brilliant at everything. You do need enough craft to make a good idea believable.
  • You challenge the brief: Ask questions, spot opportunities, bring routes nobody asked for. You won't always be right. That's the point.
  • You care about the final detail: You take responsibility for the quality of what leaves the agency. Work that goes out wrong costs the client money and costs us trust.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

THE SECTORS

  • Health and pharma: Work that has to survive medical and regulatory review and still land emotionally.
  • Beauty: Craft-led categories where the standard is high, competition is intense, and every detail matters in creating desire and distinction.
  • Retail and consumer goods: Work that has to perform at point of sale and in a two-second scroll, across a lot of SKUs, on a budget, at speed.

You do not need experience in all of these. You need to be genuinely interested in at least one.

WHO YOU ARE

  • At least 18 months in a creative agency.
  • Ideas first. You look for the thought behind the brief and enjoy developing routes and concepts.
  • A portfolio with ideas in it. Show us how you got from brief to idea and what you personally contributed.
  • A good eye and a strong creative instinct. You care about typography, composition, image and tone.
  • Comfortable enough with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to bring your thinking to life, but we care more about what you do with the tools than how many you know.
  • Confident with critique. You can explain your thinking and improve the work without getting precious.
  • Built for pace, with strong time management and personal accountability.
  • Curious about the client's business, why they need the work and what it needs to achieve.

WHAT YOU GET

  • You will work directly with the Associate Creative Director and the senior creatives who make the work. You will be in the room for the concepting, not handed the output of it.
  • Two agency brands, four categories, and work that goes to market. You will see it on shelf, in store and in campaign, and you will present it yourself.
  • We are independent and the team is small, so when the work is good everyone here knows it was yours.

Benefits: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service. Penfold pension. Life insurance. Profit share. Employee of the Quarter and Year Awards.

HOW TO APPLY

Send us a short note on why you are a good fit and which of our four sectors interests you, along with your portfolio. Applications that arrive with context are prioritised over a CV on its own. We receive 400-500 applications per role and cannot respond to everyone. We will only contact candidates we wish to take forward. There is no visa sponsorship available. Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK.
