Hearst UK operates an in-office policy with flexible Fridays. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James's, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.

Salary - Circa £38,000 - Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and relevant expertise.

Role

Hearst UK is looking for a Junior Producer to join our video team, helping create original content across our portfolio of iconic brands, including Cosmopolitan UK, ELLE UK, Harper's Bazaar UK, Esquire UK, Men's Health UK, Good Housekeeping UK and many more.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative producer at the start of their career who is passionate about YouTube, social media and digital storytelling. You'll work alongside experienced producers, videographers and editors to develop and produce content featuring celebrities, creators and experts, while learning every stage of the production process.

We're looking for someone who is full of ideas, understands what audiences want to watch, and is eager to build a career creating content that performs organically across YouTube and social platforms.

Main Duties

  • Support producers across the development and production of original video content for Hearst UK's brands.
  • Contribute creative ideas for YouTube formats, social-first videos and editorial franchises.
  • Research talent, trends and cultural moments to inspire new content ideas.
  • Help plan productions, prepare shoot documents and coordinate logistics.
  • Assist on studio and location shoots with celebrity talent, creators and contributors.
  • Support producers in writing interview questions, games, challenges and editorial formats.
  • Work closely with editors during post-production, providing feedback and helping shape engaging final edits.
  • Assist with uploading content, quality control and production administration where required.
  • Monitor the performance of published content and contribute ideas to improve future videos.
  • Stay up to date with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and emerging digital platforms.

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for YouTube, social media and digital content creation, with a strong understanding of what makes content engaging across these platforms.
  • Experience creating or producing video content—professionally, through internships, freelance work, university projects or your own channels. Original YouTube or social-first content is especially valuable.
  • Strong creative instincts and enthusiasm for developing original ideas.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • A willingness to learn and develop across every stage of video production.
  • An interest in working with celebrity talent and contributing to high-profile productions.
  • Experience assisting on studio or location shoots.
  • Familiarity with YouTube creators, digital publishing and social-platform trends.
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or other video-editing software.
  • A basic understanding of YouTube analytics and social-platform insights.
  • Experience working with talent or supporting press junkets.
