About Goalhanger
Goalhanger is one of the UK’s most exciting independent media companies, the team behind some of the world’s most successful shows, including The Rest Is Politics, The Rest Is History, The Rest Is Football, The Rest Is Entertainment, and a fast-growing slate. We’re a creative, fast-moving organisation with big ambitions and a brilliant team that makes them happen.
This role is based full time (5 days a week) in our office in Oval.
£35,000 - £40,000 OTE
The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Creative Producer to support the delivery of high-quality branded commercial content across our podcast network. This is a writing-led creative role for someone who combines speed with taste, and who wants to learn how strong commercial ideas are shaped, refined, and delivered inside premium, talent-led shows.
You’ll work closely with the Creative Producer, show producers, and the wider commercial team to help ensure branded work feels native to each show, enjoyable for audiences, and effective for partners. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, organisation and collaboration are key.
What you’ll do:
- Draft host-read scripts and sponsor messaging across a range of commercial briefs, taking ownership of first-pass writing for lower-complexity campaigns and smaller brand partners.
- Develop alternate creative routes and script versions, including new openings, different angles and shorter cuts, to strengthen the work and support efficient approvals.
- Use feedback from clients, producers and the wider creative team to refine scripts, keeping copy clear, accurate and natural for talent to deliver.
- Support the development of branded content campaigns and custom segments through research, creative ideas, outlines, beat structures and first-pass writing.
- Contribute hooks, lines, tags and creative ideas that help brand integrations feel considered and natural to the show rather than an interruption.
- Develop a strong understanding of the tone, rhythm and humour of Goalhanger’s different shows, adapting your writing for different hosts, audiences and formats.
- Work with show producers and the commercial team to interpret briefs, respond to amends and keep creative deliverables moving.
- Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date scripts and working documents, ensuring teams and talent are always working from the correct version.
- Join selected recordings, talent sessions and run-throughs, supporting delivery while developing an understanding of what works in each host’s voice.
- Maintain a high creative standard across all commercial copy, ensuring work is natural, specific and appropriate to the individual show.
- Handle mandatory messaging, factual claims and compliance requirements accurately, flagging any issues or uncertainties early.
- Support newsletters and additional campaign copy where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Excellent attention to detail, particularly around accuracy, formatting, version control and clean amends.
