About the Role

Here at Sealey, we have an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in finance and credit control. Based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, you will join us on a permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.

Full training will be provided in debt collection, customer account management, cash allocation, credit checking and more. You’ll be supported by management and a team of experienced colleagues throughout your development.

In this role, you’ll help maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring outstanding invoices are paid on time.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure payments are received on time.
  • Chasing overdue invoices by phone and email and resolving payment queries.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and internal departments.
  • Investigating and resolving disputes, invoicing issues and account queries.
  • Allocating payments and maintaining accurate account records.
  • Reviewing credit limits and escalating potential risks.
  • Carrying out all collection activities professionally and in line with company procedures.
  • Assisting with sales ledger and general administration duties.

Requirements

  • A strong interest in finance and credit control.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, self-motivated and proactive.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
