As we continue to invest in growing the category and strengthening our brands, we're looking for an ambitious Junior Customer Category Manager (Impulse) to join our Category Team!

Your Next Pour: The Opportunity and Job Purpose

To build our external category partnerships with impulse customers, across W&C, managed convenience and AFH. To be our eyes and ears in the trade, delivering a true category approach to support our retailers in winning and within that supporting the growth of TBG. To be a category expert on Juices & smoothies and a customer expert – wiring cross-functionally within the customer and has a deep understanding of the customer strategy and how to operate within it. Has good data literacy and can transform data into insights to drive win win business plans for us and the customer. Be the person the customer calls on as their right hand person for all ranging and merchandising decisions.

The Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Customer Category Management
  • Building Customer Category Relationships across impulse accounts (W&C, Managed convenience, AFH)
  • Use data/insights to build credible relationships with customer partners to drive overall category growth and growth for TBG
  • Distribution External Influencing
  • Range Review Leadership including influencing through data (category, consumer + market insights), cross-functional coordination of external action plan, RR progress tracking
  • Share of Shelf Growth by customer
  • Merchandising Execution
  • Picture of Success Execution (assortment, promo efficiency and merchandising)
  • Customer Relationship Management, seen as a category + customer expert
  • Drive competitive advantage through sharing category advocacy work and thought leadership topics

  • External Customer Category Management

  • Execution of the Picture of Success (assortment, promo efficiency + merchandising)
  • Execute retailer specific category strategy ‘Jobs to be done’ + execution of
  • Identify mutual growth opportunities
  • The voice of the category + trade into the organisation
  • Promote category advocacy and thought-leadership externally

This list covers the main duties you will undertake but other duties will be required and added to as required to meet project and business needs. Flexibility to support the business is essential to the role.

About You

We're looking for someone who is curious, ambitious and excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of some of the UK's biggest juice brands.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in FMCG Category Management (W&C/Managed Convenience/AFH experience preferred but not necessary)
  • Literate in category/market data analytics platforms (Nielsen/Circana, Kantar)
  • Has some experience in turning data/insight into action to drive change
  • Experience of customer management and relationship building
  • Experience in external influencing/story-building, presenting with impact
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and be the voice of the customer
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive to win
  • Ability to build internal and external credibility – can navigate a fast-paced, matrix organisation
