Are you naturally curious, highly analytical, and passionate about turning data into meaningful business insights? Do you enjoy identifying trends, solving problems, and helping teams make informed decisions?

At Terberg DTS, we're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our team in Elland. You'll play an important role in supporting business performance through the analysis of complex data sets, the creation of insightful reports, and the development of dashboards that help drive smarter decision-making across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in data analytics while working closely with managers and stakeholders across multiple departments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating reporting packages and data models using Excel, Power Query, PowerPoint and Power BI.
  • Transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.
  • Developing dashboards and visual reports to improve visibility of business performance and operational processes.
  • Maintaining, enhancing, and streamlining existing reporting packages and data models.
  • Working closely with department managers and supervisors to understand reporting requirements.
  • Providing data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
  • Presenting findings and analytical insights in a clear and engaging way.
  • Validating, cleansing, and maintaining data to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
  • Assisting with the development of data-led solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues across all departments.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and IT skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Desirable Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Some knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL.
  • Completion of a Level 3 Data Essentials Apprenticeship or Level 4 Data Analyst qualification would be advantageous.

Qualifications Required:

  • A-Level Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
  • GCSE English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
