About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Analyst to support our Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Development and Compliance Team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in system support, data analysis, PowerBI, reporting, and user training while developing skills in CAFM system architecture and design.

The successful candidate will assist with system-related support queries, help develop reporting tools, triage requests, and play a key role in supporting CAFM users across Amey.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a primary point of contact for CAFM system support, resolving user queries, issues, and access requests.
  • Support the onboarding of new users, including account setup, permissions, and guidance on system usage.
  • Deliver training and user support for internal teams and clients, improving system adoption and data quality.
  • Manage and maintain system data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business processes.
  • Investigate and resolve data and system issues, including troubleshooting user-reported faults.
  • Monitor and process CAFM change requests, ensuring appropriate approvals and system updates are completed.
  • Maintain user access, permissions, and system configurations to ensure secure and efficient operation.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support operational reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Support the development of internal tools (e.g. Power Apps) to streamline processes and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to understand requirements and implement practical system improvements.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
  • A relevant Level 4 IT or data-analysis qualification
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident and comfortable speaking on the phone and delivering training to users
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player who can also work independently when required

Required

  • Power BI experience, including Power Query, DAX measures, data modelling, relationships, calculated columns, report development, dashboard design, and publishing solutions to support operational and business reporting.
  • Data analysis and reporting, transforming large datasets into meaningful insights and creating automated reports to support business decision-making.
  • Microsoft Excel expertise, including complex formulas, Power Query, PivotTables, data cleansing, data reconciliation, and reporting automation.
  • Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering, working closely with end users and business teams to understand requirements and deliver effective data and technology solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience investigating data issues, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions to improve business processes and reporting.
  • Data quality and governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business-critical data through validation, auditing, and process improvement activities.

Desirable

  • Experience working with CAFM systems, managing asset, maintenance, and compliance data across large property portfolios while supporting operational teams and clients.
  • User training and support, creating user guides, delivering training sessions, troubleshooting issues, and providing ongoing support to maximise adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Power Apps & Power Automate experience, including canvas app development, process automation, approval workflows, SharePoint and Dataverse integration, data validation, notifications, and user-focused solution development.
  • SQL experience, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, remediation, stored procedures, views, joins, aggregate functions, and performance optimisation.
