Junior Data Analyst

Do you enjoy working with data, solving problems and figuring out what the numbers are actually telling you? We're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join us.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Junior Data Analyst, you'll support the organisation's reporting and data needs while developing your skills across data and business intelligence. Your role will include:
- Developing, maintaining and documenting Power BI reports, dashboards and datasets, using SQL and DAX to extract, transform and model data
- Working with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver clear analysis of business activity, customer engagement, performance, trends, risks and opportunities
- Profiling, validating, cleansing and monitoring data to improve accuracy, completeness and consistency
- Testing reports, datasets and data solutions against source data and supporting the resolution of any issues
- Handling client, candidate, employee and commercial data in line with data-protection requirements and internal controls
- Maintaining clear documentation covering data sources, definitions, transformations, ownership, limitations and user guidance
- Supporting the adoption of reporting tools, data standards and consistent working practices
- Keeping your technical knowledge current and continuing to develop your skills

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is curious, methodical and keen to develop a career in data and business intelligence. You should have:
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases and stored procedures, including joins, filtering, aggregation and data manipulation
- Practical Power BI experience, including reports, dashboards, DAX measures, calculated columns and data modelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to data accuracy and visualisation quality
- The ability to understand stakeholder needs and explain technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage priorities, work effectively within a team and deliver agreed tasks reliably
Desirable Skills & Experience
It would also be useful if you have experience or knowledge of:
- Python, R or other analytics and statistical tools
- Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio
- ETL concepts or tools
- Preparing, cleansing and transforming data from multiple sources
- Reporting platforms such as SSRS, Tableau, Qlik or Cognos
- Data governance, lineage and responsible data handling
- Using AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency in data preparation, analysis, reporting and documentation
- CRM or recruitment-sector systems
