Junior Data Engineer
London | £40,000 - £44,000 | Hybrid

The Role
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will help build and maintain scalable data infrastructure while supporting teams across the business with reliable, high-quality data.

Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines to support business reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.
- Working with modern data technologies including Python, SQL, BigQuery, dbt, Dagster, and Docker.
- Supporting the automation of data workflows and helping improve data accessibility across the organisation.
- Contributing to data quality initiatives and ensuring core datasets remain accurate and reliable.
- Collaborating with engineering, product, commercial, and analytics teams to deliver data solutions.
- Supporting machine learning operations and helping enable efficient workflows for data science projects.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering best practices.
- Researching and implementing improvements to the existing data stack as business requirements evolve.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong Python and SQL skills demonstrated through academic, personal, or commercial projects.
- Passion for data engineering and a desire to build expertise in cloud technologies, databases, and modern data platforms.
- Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, or data modelling concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Interest in automation, data quality, and scalable engineering solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.
