Junior Design Engineer (Mechanical / Machinery)

£35,000 - £45,000 + Progression + Training + Company Bonus

Are you a Junior Design Engineer from a mechanical background, looking to join an industry leading specialist automation company where you will be designing and developing bespoke machinery and advanced engineering solutions?

Would you like to receive a wide range of specialist training, tailored to your individual strengths and weaknesses, alongside clear and flexible progression opportunities into roles including Senior Design Engineer or Project Manager?

In this role you will design an array of unique custom machinery and find engineering solutions, supporting projects across industries including automotive and aerospace. The position will primarily be design focused using SolidWorks with additional hands-on involvement in the fitting and assembling as you oversee projects from concept to completion.

This rapidly developing automation company develop bespoke machinery for high-profile clients, using innovative solutions to solve manufacturing problems and address gaps within the market. With plans of continued success, they are looking creative engineers to join a team where the work is varied and expansive.

This role would suit a Junior Design Engineer from a mechanical background, with hands-on workshop experience and an understanding of taking projects from concept, through design, to completion, looking for a varied position offering technical involvement, specialist training, and clear opportunities for progression.

The Role:

  • Designing, testing, and manufacturing bespoke automation machinery
  • Working on conveyors, robotic packing systems, and laser marking machinery
  • Work alongside a team of Engineers to handle products from concept to completion
  • 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 4:30
