What does a Junior Designer do at WPP Production?
As a Junior Graphic Designer at WPP Production, you will assist in creating high-quality designs across print, digital, and motion platforms. This role is ideal for a creative individual with strong foundational skills, eager to learn and grow while producing work that aligns with brand guidelines and client expectations.
You’ll collaborate with clients, project managers, and creatives to deliver polished, effective designs. Adaptability, organisation, and attention to detail are essential, as is a willingness to embrace new tools and techniques in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility may occasionally be required to meet tight deadlines or support client presentations.
Reporting to a Senior Designer or Design Director, you’ll receive mentorship to develop your skills and progress professionally. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, innovative team while honing your craft.

Concept Development & Innovation
- Contribute original ideas during brainstorming sessions and stay up to date with design trends and tools to continuously enhance creativity.

- Work closely with designers, art directors, and team members; actively participate in critiques to improve and refine design work.

- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain organised assets, and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.

- Ensure all outputs adhere to brand standards and review work carefully for accuracy and quality.

- Use Adobe Creative Suite and other tools to produce high-quality designs for both digital and print, under the guidance of senior team members.

- Maintain a strong eye for detail throughout the design process, from concept to final delivery.

Interpersonal Skills
- Communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and respond positively to feedback to meet project needs.
Requirements
- Some relevant experience (e.g., internships, freelance work, or academic projects) with a portfolio showcasing creative and diverse design work.
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and familiarity with tools like PowerPoint.
- Interest in learning about AI tools for generative image creation, video production, and text generation is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics or animation is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of brand identity design and a willingness to develop skills in creating and executing brand identities.
- Foundational understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and conceptual thinking, with a desire to improve and grow these skills.
- Ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, eager to learn from senior designers and contribute to team projects.
- Willingness to present creative concepts and explain design decisions under guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and supporting the development of design concepts.
- Attend meetings to gather feedback and refine designs based on input from clients and colleagues.
- Assist in managing multiple tasks, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining quality.
- Keep files and workflows organised to support project delivery and team efficiency.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment, staying flexible to changing priorities and project needs.
- Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and problem-solving skills to explore new ideas and approaches to design.
