Junior Designer
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)
Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote per week
Location: Clapham Common, London (Head Office)
About the Role
Are you a creative and commercially minded Designer with a passion for Jersey? Do you love turning research, trends and ideas into beautiful, wearable product that customers genuinely want to wear?
We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our Design team at Hush and support the development of our Jersey category. Working closely with our Senior Designer, Buying, Merchandising and Technical teams, you’ll support the journey from initial concept through to sealed samples, helping to create innovative, commercially successful collections that feel unmistakably Hush.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the design and development of the Jersey collection from concept through to sealed samples
- Researching trends, colour, fabrics, silhouettes and product opportunities
- Creating mood boards, colour palettes, CADs and detailed tech packs
- Working closely with Buying, Technical and supplier partners throughout the development process
- Attending fit meetings and supporting the development of product, construction and fit
- Analysing sales and customer feedback to help inform future product decisions
- Sourcing fabrics and trims and managing the category fabric library
- Supporting with wash techniques, embroidery artwork and print strike-offs
- Keeping product information and developments up to date within our PLM system
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years’ experience in a Design role, ideally within Jersey
- A strong creative eye and a great understanding of commercial fashion
- A passion for researching trends, product and new silhouettes
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrications and trims
- Confident using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong CAD skills
- Experience creating detailed tech packs
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work cross-functionally
- Someone proactive, hands-on and comfortable working at pace
- Experience using PLM systems would be a bonus
