Junior Developer
Nottingham | Office-based with up to 2 days remote working after probation

Responsibilities
- Support existing developers with data integration, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation
- Develop new features for a cloud-based data processing platform
- Write clean, maintainable Python code for serverless AWS applications
- Contribute to API development using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
- Build and improve user-facing applications using React and modern JavaScript technologies
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment activities
- Maintain code quality standards, testing practices, and documentation
- Collaborate on technical design discussions, reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong Python skills or a solid foundation in another object-oriented programming language
- Previous software development experience through an internship, placement year, graduate role, or similar
- Basic understanding of AWS services and cloud computing concepts
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD principles
- Understanding of REST APIs and web service architectures
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning

Desirable Experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda or EC2
- Exposure to React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Knowledge of ETL or data processing concepts
- Familiarity with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, or AI-assisted development tools
This Junior Developer position is based in Nottingham, offering an office-based working pattern with up to 2 days remote working after probation.
