Junior Full Stack Developer
Hybrid - Central London up to 3 days per week
£35,000 - £40,000
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a collaborative digital team building modern, user-focused web services.
This role offers the opportunity to work across both front end and back end development, using technologies including React, JavaScript, Python and Django. You'll help develop new features, improve existing services and support the ongoing maintenance of digital products that are used every day.
The team embraces AI-first development, so you'll be encouraged to use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor and other coding assistants to work more efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and testing.

What you'll be doing
- Building and enhancing web applications across the full technology stack, with a slight bias toward frontend
- Creating responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces
- Maintaining and improving existing services through bug fixes and updates
- Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Using AI tools to accelerate development and problem solving
What we're looking for
- Around 18 months+ experience in software development
- Experience with JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, a strong interest in UI and design
- Knowledge of Python, Django or another backend technology
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS and Git
- A passion for building great user experiences
- Someone who is curious, eager to learn and comfortable embracing new technologies

Nice to have
- Django or Wagtail experience
- Accessibility knowledge
- PostgreSQL, Docker, REST APIs or automated testing experience
- Experience working within public sector, charity or purpose-driven organisations
