About Us

Storebox is a growing self-storage operator with a portfolio of 29 indoor and outdoor facilities across the UK. We are expanding our footprint through new site acquisitions, ground-up developments, and repurposing of existing buildings. As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a Junior Development Manager to join our development team and support the delivery of sites from initial appraisal through to opening.

The Role

Working closely with and reporting to the Development Manager, you will support the identification, appraisal, and delivery of self-storage development opportunities. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their property or development career to gain hands-on exposure to the full development lifecycle within a fast-moving, commercially focused sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site identification and sourcing, including researching target catchment areas and maintaining a pipeline of potential opportunities
  • Help prepare planning applications and liaise with planning consultants, architects, and local authorities
  • Support the Development Manager in managing the design process with architects and engineers, ensuring schemes meet operational and brand requirements
  • Assist in managing the tendering process and coordinating with contractors, quantity surveyors, and project managers during construction
  • Track project budgets, timelines, and key milestones, flagging risks or delays
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and investment papers for internal stakeholders and board approval
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective acquisitions (title, planning history, ground conditions, etc.)
  • Build and maintain relationships with agents, landowners, planning consultants, and local authorities
  • Attend site visits, design meetings, and project review meetings
  • Carry out general administrative and coordination tasks to support the wider development team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
