Junior Digital Marketing Executive

WJ are the UK Market leading road marking and highway safety business. We are seeking a motivated Junior Digital Marketing Executive to bolster our team based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in marketing. If you are organised, creative, and passionate about digital marketing, we would love to hear from you!

Job Description

Digital Content & Social Media

  • Create and schedule engaging content across WJ Group's social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, X and others)
  • Monitor social media channels, engage with audiences and report on performance metrics
  • Support the development of content aligned with the group's ABM strategy

Website & SEO

  • Assist with updating and maintaining content across multiple WJ Group websites
  • Support the delivery of the SEO programme, including keyword research and on-page optimisation
  • Track website performance using Google Analytics and provide regular reporting

Campaigns & Email Marketing

  • Support the planning and execution of digital campaigns across paid and organic channels
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns including content creation, scheduling and performance reporting
  • Contribute to pay-per-click (PPC) activity under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Lead

General Marketing Support

  • Work collaboratively across all WJ Group business streams to understand and support their marketing needs
  • Assist with the production of digital marketing materials and sales collateral
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends, tools and best practices

About you

Essential

  • A degree, placement, internship, freelance work or practical experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications, media, content creation, business or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for digital marketing and understanding of key digital channels
  • Strong written communication skills with an eye for detail and tone
  • Organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working with data and drawing basic insights from analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platforms

Desirable

  • Practical experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Hootsuite or similar
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) and basic HTML
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and email marketing platforms
  • Previous internship, placement or freelance digital marketing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
