The Role - Junior EHS Advisor
EHS Advisor required for our site located in Intel. The role will suit someone who is diploma qualified and looking for the opportunity to join a leading contractor.
Typical Tasks
- Implement the Company's health, safety, and environmental policy, procedures, and management systems on sites.
- Advise & assist site management with RAMS and Safe Plans of Action.
- Provide advice, guidance, and instruction in all health & safety matters to management and employees.
- Deliver Health & Safety induction training to new employees or sub-contractors working on site.
- Ensure all equipment is inspected as per statutory and company requirements and is tested within company guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and site audits, reporting findings to site and senior company management.
- Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, and investigated and that suitable notification given to the client and BMD EHS Manager. Implement corrective actions.
- Ensure site employees have necessary training to carry out all tasks- combination of in-house training (e.g., Manual Handling, Working at Height, Abrasive wheel training, etc.)

Person Specification
Education, Training & Experience
- Diploma in Health and Safety essential.
- 2 Years' experience in an EHS role.
- Able to work on own initiative with a high level of personal motivation.
- Hold a full, clean Driving license.
- Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills.
- Confident, proactive, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Competencies
- Diligent individual with a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality standards.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Computer literate (advanced user of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Hardworking and capable of performing in a fast-paced, schedule-driven project environment.
