Junior Electrical Trainer (Full Training Provided)

£27,000 - £31,000 + Full Training & Development + 37 Days Holiday + Pension + CPD + Progression

Do you have a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations or equivalent industry experience?

Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to transition into a rewarding training role, where you'll receive full training and qualifications to become an Electrical Trainer with no previous teaching experience required?

This leading technical education and training provider delivers a wide range of vocational and apprenticeship programmes across engineering and advanced technical disciplines. Working alongside major employers, they develop the next generation of skilled engineers through industry-focused training, modern workshop facilities, and qualifications ranging from entry level through to degree level.

In this role, you will support Electrical apprentices throughout their training by carrying out workplace visits, assessing practical skills, and monitoring their progress. You'll work closely with learners, employers, and internal teaching teams to provide coaching, guidance, and feedback, ensuring apprentices successfully complete their qualifications. Full assessor and trainer qualifications will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to transition into education.

The Role

  • Support and assess Electrical apprentices in the workplace
  • Carry out regular progress reviews with learners and employers
  • Assess practical competency against apprenticeship standards
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback
  • Monitor and record learner progress and achievement
  • Liaise with employers and internal teams to support apprentice development
  • Gain recognised assessor and trainer qualifications through full training

The Person

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations or equivalent industry experience
  • Electrical Engineer or similar background
  • Looking to move into a training and education role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commutable to Workington
