About Vulcain Engineering

Vulcain Engineering is a global engineering consultancy supporting major energy and infrastructure programmes across the United Kingdom and internationally. We embed our people directly into client projects, providing engineering, construction, safety, and operational expertise across the full project lifecycle. As offshore wind development continues to expand, Vulcain Engineering is supporting critical onshore preparation activities that ensure offshore installation works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Position: Junior Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Junior Engineer to join our Completion & Methods team, supporting the delivery of one of the world's largest offshore wind farm projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in technical problem-solving, offshore operations, engineering coordination, and project execution.

Working closely with Technical Coordinators, Engineers, EHS teams, and offshore stakeholders, you will help develop safe and effective methodologies for defect resolution and site completion activities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational requirements.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Junior Engineer will include:

  • Prepare and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for offshore defect resolution and completion activities.
  • Define safe and efficient work methods, including resources, equipment, manhours, and execution sequences.
  • Support defect investigations by assessing the feasibility of corrective actions and identifying execution requirements.
  • Ensure RAMS comply with EHS requirements, offshore constraints, OEM specifications, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Site teams to align documentation, materials, and technical requirements.
  • Manage RAMS review, revision, approval, and document control processes.
  • Support project planning by considering offshore logistics, weather windows, and operational priorities.
  • Provide regular updates on RAMS progress, risks, technical challenges, and approval status.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned, process optimisation, and best-practice standardisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
