A well-established ground engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Junior Engineering Geologist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years experience to develop their career while working on a wide range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
The role is predominantly site-based, giving you the opportunity to build strong technical and practical experience while working alongside experienced engineers and engineering geologists.
The Role
- Assisting with ground investigations across a variety of sites
- Logging soil and rock to BS5930 standards
- Supervising trial pits, window sampling, and borehole investigations
- Coordinating and overseeing drilling contractors
- Collecting soil, rock, and groundwater samples for laboratory testing
- Carrying out in-situ testing including CBR, soakaway, and permeability testing
- Producing factual ground investigation reports
- Assisting with geotechnical and geoenvironmental interpretative reporting
- Ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with current health and safety standards

Requirements
- Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related subject
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel and work on sites across the region
- Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to develop a career within ground engineering
