About Us

We’re a small team of curious, highly focused individuals from different backgrounds, including researchers, finance professionals, healthcare specialists and investors.

We don’t all come from the same path, but we share the same goal: finding companies the market may be getting wrong.

We look for businesses that we believe are either overlooked or mispriced, identify the catalysts that could change the market’s view, and build our investment cases around the evidence.

We’re not trying to follow the crowd. We’re trying to find what others may have missed and act on it with conviction.

Now, we’re looking to bring another researcher into the team.

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior Healthcare Equity Researcher to help us research publicly listed companies, primarily across biotech, pharma and emerging healthcare.

This is not a traditional graduate scheme or corporate research role. We’re a small team, and we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn, willing to take ownership of their work and wants to build a genuine track record in equity research.

You’ll be given companies to research and will be responsible for producing clear, evidence-based investment reports.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on the company, your research could involve:

  • Understanding the company’s business model and competitive position
  • Researching clinical programmes, products and therapeutic markets
  • Analysing financial statements, cash position, cash burn and dilution risk
  • Assessing upcoming clinical, regulatory and commercial catalysts
  • Reviewing SEC filings, company presentations, clinical data and other public sources
  • Identifying risks, inconsistencies and information the market may be overlooking
  • Developing a clear investment thesis
  • Producing a structured equity research report

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your research rather than simply being handed small pieces of analysis.

Who We’re Looking For

This opportunity is aimed at undergraduates, recent graduates and junior researchers who want to break into equity research.

You might have:

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Biomedical Science, Pharmacology, Life Sciences or a related field
  • Previous experience through an internship or placement
  • Personal equity research or investment projects
  • A portfolio of stock pitches or investment reports
  • University research that demonstrates strong analytical skills
  • Experience researching healthcare or biotech companies
  • Or simply a strong understanding of financial markets and a genuine interest in healthcare investing

You do not need previous experience at an investment bank, hedge fund or research firm.

If you’ve spent your own time researching companies, building investment theses or following biotech and pharma closely, we want to hear from you.

What We Value

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Curious and willing to dig deeper
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Strong written communicators
  • Evidence-driven and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with financial and clinical information
  • Able to separate facts from assumptions
  • Willing to challenge consensus
  • Interested in developing a career in equity research or investing

You don’t need to know everything. We care more about how you think, how you research and your willingness to learn.

How It Works

The role will initially be freelance and project-based, with payment made per completed research report.

You’ll start by working with us on individual companies and research projects. This gives both sides the opportunity to see how we work together and assess the quality of the research.

If we like your work, you produce strong research and you work well within the team, there is potential for the relationship to develop into a permanent position with Off Angle Research.

We’re looking for people who want to grow with us, not simply complete a few reports and move on.

Why Join Us?

We’re building something small from the ground up.

You won’t be another name on a graduate scheme or buried within a large research team.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership of companies
  • Develop your own research process
  • Build a portfolio of real equity research
  • Learn directly from people with different backgrounds across finance and healthcare
  • Have your work contribute directly to what we’re building
  • Potentially grow into a permanent role as the team develops

If you’re looking for your first real opportunity in equity research, this could be a good place to start.

Interested?

Send us:

  1. Your CV
  2. A short introduction about yourself and why healthcare equity research interests you
  3. An example of your research, if you have one

This could be a stock pitch, university project, investment thesis or personal research project.

We’re much more interested in seeing how you think than where you’ve worked before.
