About the Role
As our Junior Field Technician based in Cornwall, you will report to the Head of Technical and play an important role in supporting the maintenance and repair of coffee machines for customers across North Cornwall. You'll work closely with our experienced Senior Technician and Field Technician in the region, providing a strong support network as you develop your skills.
This is primarily a field-based role, although you will also assist with occasional workshop activities, equipment preparation, installations, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis. You'll receive a comprehensive onboarding programme, followed by hands-on training and ongoing development opportunities to help you build your technical expertise and progress your career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with the installation, servicing, refurbishment, and repair of espresso machines, grinders, and hot water systems.
- Support the installation and maintenance of water filtration systems at customer sites, ensuring equipment performs reliably and efficiently.
- Carry out planned maintenance visits and assist with reactive service calls, helping to diagnose faults and resolve technical issues.
- Manage stock movements through our service management app, maintaining accurate records of parts used and stock levels.
- Keep your service van clean, organised, well-stocked, and ready for daily operations.
- Work closely with the Workshop Coordinator and Technical Service Coordinator to ensure jobs are scheduled efficiently and the correct parts are available.
- Complete service records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Deliver excellent customer service, communicating professionally and representing Origin positively at all customer sites.
- Support workshop operations and goods-in/goods-out activities when required.
- Safely use hand tools and equipment on a daily basis, undertaking manual handling and lifting as part of the role.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment, both in the workshop and on customer premises.
- Follow company SOPs, health & safety procedures, and industry best practices at all times.
