Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner working with Commercial & Marketing, the Finance Analyst provides analytical and reporting support across Sales, Marketing and, more broadly, the Finance Business Partnering team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial information.

This fixed-term role is intended as a targeted reinforcement to manage sustained workload pressure within commercial finance, absorbing recurring, high-volume activities and reducing execution risk. It enables senior Finance Business Partner to focus on strategic decision support, profitability optimization and stakeholder engagement during a period of high volume of project work, while safeguarding the quality and timeliness of critical reporting.

This role is well suited to an early career professional looking to develop their experience in commercial finance and business partnering within a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing...

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain sales reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Support monthly sales performance analysis versus budget and forecast.
  • Track and analyze key commercial KPIs (buying point analysis, advertiser analysis…).

Commercial Mechanics and Governance

  • Support commission/bonus calculations and reconciliations.
  • Support follow-up of commercial terms.

Data, Contracts and Tools

  • Maintain commercial trackers related to agencies, specialists and key contracts.
  • Contribute to reporting tools and dashboards (Excel, Power BI).

Budgeting and forecasting

  • Assist in monitoring performance against plans and provide structured variance analysis, depending on business requirements.
  • Contribute to potential ad hoc financial projects, such as, benchmarking analysis (for budget purposes), business plans or process improvement initiatives, as assigned by senior team members.

A little bit about you...

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or qualified by experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, and proactivity in anticipating needs and understanding what the numbers are telling us.
  • Good understanding of P&L mechanics and commercial drivers.
  • Well-organized, reliable and delivery focused.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exposure to sales or marketing environments is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power BI experience is a plus).
  • Evidence of proactive thinking, proposing solutions to problems.
  • Evidence of a desire to learn and grow, showing curiosity and proactive learning, in both knowledge and skills. This includes learning new technology including AI.
  • Ability to be flexible about being in the office (Paddington) on a variety of days, sometimes at short notice in line with internal and external client needs.
