About the Job
The Junior Finance Assistant supports the finance team with daily accounting tasks, financial administration, and routine reporting. The role helps maintain accurate financial records, processes transactions, and assists with month‑end and year‑end activities. It plays a key part in ensuring the finance function operates efficiently and provides reliable information to the wider business.
The role exists to keep financial processes running smoothly by handling transactional tasks, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting the finance team with essential administrative duties.
Your Tasks
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process supplier invoices
- Assist with customer invoicing
- Allocate customer and supplier payments
- Maintain accurate Finance records
- Assist with basic invoicing and payment queries

Bank Reconciliation:
- Assist with bank transactions and reconciliations
- Help investigate differences when required
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining the General Ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Provide support during audits
General Finance Support:
- Respond to routine Finance queries from customers, suppliers and internal departments
- Maintain Finance records and supporting documents
- Assist with general Finance administration
- Support the Finance team with month-end tasks when required
- Assist with ad-hoc Finance tasks and projects
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and within agreed deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum education requirements: A-levels or equivalent
- Previous Finance, Accounting or office experience would be beneficial but is not essential
- Strong interest in developing a career in Finance
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Basic Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- SAP Business One knowledge is beneficial but not essential
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Positive and proactive attitude
