Junior Finance Assistant (Credit Control/Sales Ledger focus)

As a Junior Finance Assistant (Credit Control/Sales Ledger focus), you'll play a key role in handling daily financial tasks to keep the accounting operations running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get stuck into their first Finance role!

Client Details

An organisation based in Kidlington, renowned within their field, dedicated to maintaining efficient financial operations. The site is accessible via public transport, and the company will consider 1 day working from home following the initial settling in period.

Description

  • Manage debt collection.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and manage financial records.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Handle queries regarding financial transactions and follow up as needed.
  • Chasing debts by phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of financial activities.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department.

Profile

A Successful Junior Finance Assistant Should Have

  • Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills to address queries and liaise with team members and customers.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to tasks.
  • Immediate availability/be available on short notice.
  • Valid visa/eligibility to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
