Join us as a Junior Finance Business Partner and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity!

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation. Working closely with operational teams across the business, you'll provide financial insight, challenge, and support that helps drive informed decision-making and business performance.

Whether you're part-qualified, studying towards an accountancy qualification, or have equivalent experience, we'll support your development and help you build the skills needed to progress your finance career.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the management of month end accounting processes including preparation of journals, forecasting, variance analysis and costings
  • Preparation and presentation of Management Information and other financial reports
  • Cost Analysis
  • Revenue Analysis
  • Management of the development of processes and financial analysis reporting to improve the business’s ability to monitor performance.
  • Support with financial planning, including annual business plans
  • Support with other areas of the finance team as required, including, but not limited to, accounts receivables, accounts payable, bids, financial governance

What we’re looking for:

  • Part-qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification, or qualified by experience. Qualification funding can be supported.
  • Experience of working in close partnership with non-financial managers, providing management accounting advice, support and challenge
  • Use of standard IT packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced)
  • Good management accounting experience.
  • Experience of working with large data sets and financial modelling
  • Highly organised individual, with good attention to detail
  • Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build sound working relationships
  • Previous experience using NetSuite (Oracle) and/or other finance systems.
