About The Role

A Junior Finance Controller position is available in London with Manpower UK, paying up to £50,000 per annum on a permanent, onsite basis. This role suits a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant who speaks fluent French, supporting financial operations across several African entities. Working alongside the Senior Finance Controller, you will maintain financial accuracy, assist with accounting tasks, and liaise with international colleagues. Working closely with the Senior Finance Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting accounting activities across multiple entities, and building strong relationships with finance teams based internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Finance Controller with financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations.
  • Analyse and reconcile accounting records across multiple international entities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information.
  • Review and oversee General Ledger (GL) transactions across multiple countries.
  • Work closely with operational teams, translating financial information into clear business insights.
  • Liaise with finance and accounting teams across African subsidiaries.
  • Support the continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and controls.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial activities as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • A recognised accounting qualification, either part-qualified or fully qualified.
  • A minimum of 3 years' finance or accounting experience (5 years preferred).
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across international teams.
  • A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly across African countries, following the successful completion of probation.
