About the Role
Prestige Corporate Events is a fast-growing hospitality and events business. As we move our finance operation onto Zoho Books and tighten the link between our finance and CRM systems, we are looking for a Junior Finance Executive to sit at the heart of day-to-day finance: keeping the ledgers clean, the bank and card accounts reconciled, payments prepared, and giving the leadership team accurate, timely reporting on margin, cashflow and forecast performance.
This is a hands-on role with real breadth. You will own routine processes end to end, support a live systems migration, and grow into higher-value analysis such as cashflow forecasting and credit control. It suits someone early in their finance career who is well organised, accurate, and keen to develop.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Ledgers
- Post and upload sales and purchase invoices in Zoho Books, maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledgers.
- Log invoices and receipts to the agreed format and maintain orderly invoice files (digital or hard copy).
- Reconcile ledgers periodically against supplier statements and against Zoho CRM records.
Bank, Cards and Reconciliation
- Manage the bank feed; check that postings are correctly classified and reconciled.
- Weekly reconciliation of the cashbook and company credit cards, with uploads to the accounting software.
- Ensure spend complies with company expenses and spend policy.
- Maintain purchase invoice files to support the bank and card accounts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
