The Role
Supporting the Financial Management & Tax team, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of finance, accounting, tax, and business reporting activities for both Kia UK and Kia Ireland branch.
The role will involve:
- Analysing financial and operational data
- Assisting with month-end reporting processes
- Reviewing and documenting key finance controls
- Supporting process improvement initiatives
The candidate will contribute to exception reporting, control monitoring, and management information, helping to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the finance function.

The intern will also gain exposure to senior stakeholders, group companies, and external advisers, developing an understanding of the key drivers behind revenue, profitability, costs, cash flow, investment decisions, and tax compliance within a leading automotive organisation.
The Team
The Financial Management & Tax team operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement. The team supports a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, tax & customs compliance business analysis, and control enhancements.
Team members have progressed through the company and possess detailed knowledge of the business challenges faced by a modern finance function. The successful candidate will receive support and guidance from experienced professionals while gaining valuable practical experience in a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- Studying a relevant degree (e.g. a Finance related subject)
- Able to work effectively within a team and independently
- Passionate and hard-working, open to developing knowledge and skills
- Proactive, taking the initiative to develop fresh approaches and new solutions

The Location
The Kia UK Head Office is based in Walton-on-Thames, just a 5 minute walk from the station. We also have plenty of on-site parking for drivers, including EV charging ports.
