We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Junior Financial Accountant to join our Consumer Finance team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys reconciliations, cash management, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and service excellence are highly valued.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor, Receivables & Reconciliations, you'll play an important role in supporting our finance operations by ensuring cash allocation, banking, reconciliations, and account administration processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Your work will directly contribute to the financial health of the business while helping deliver an exceptional experience for both internal and external customers.

How You'll Shine

  • Allocate and reconcile customer payments across multiple account types and currencies.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and support month-end close activities.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve account variances.
  • Process refunds, adjustments, account cancellations, and account maintenance requests.
  • Investigate payment disputes and chargebacks.
  • Manage unallocated funds and account suppression activities.
  • Maintain direct debit authorities and ensure compliance with customer agreements.
  • Provide accurate data entry and administrative support.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Experience in an Accounts Receivable, Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Finance Administration, or Junior Accounting position.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience handling payment allocations, banking transactions, and account reconciliations.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • The ability to work to deadlines, particularly during month-end periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
