The Role

To support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining accounting records and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and accounting standards.

The candidate will also provide support to the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) shared service teams (SSC) in assisting the process and answering stakeholder queries. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to gain an exposure across financial accounting, reporting and operational finance processes.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

  • Assisting with the liaison with SSC accounting team on all reporting activities, ensuring compliance and adherence to reporting timetable
  • Support the preparation of audit schedules and statutory reporting requirements
  • Support month end close procedures
  • Analyse financial data and investigate variances
  • Contribute to change management processes identified within the Finance function
  • Involvement in tax reporting processes including VAT reporting and compliance obligations
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and project support as required

Treasury

  • Support the treasury function including cash flow forecasting and reporting
  • Currency management

Accounts Payable Support

  • Being the brand lead on the AP and procurement process
  • Assist with the review of weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Provide support for any related issues identified

Accounts Receivable Support

  • Assisting with commissions admin and month end reporting
  • Assisting AR lead with ad hoc tasks

Essential Requirements

  • Advanced education within the finance field e.g. finance degree or studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Balanced in Accuracy v Detail
  • Proactive, dynamic and enthusiastic
  • Team Player
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Experience/interest in TV / Media industry
  • Experience of using Maconomy, OneStream or Salesforce would be an advantage
  • Experience of working/being in a fast-paced environment
