Junior Independent Financial Adviser

Location: South West England

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

The role

The purpose of this role is to play a valuable role in our Commercial Team, as a Junior Independent Financial Adviser. You will work closely with experienced advisers to provide a consistent and outstanding client experience while helping clients progress towards their financial objectives.

As our Junior Independent Financial Adviser, you will typically:

  • Develop an understanding of the AFH Group's core values and apply these in everyday activities
  • Support experienced advisers in delivering high-quality financial planning services to clients
  • Build relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent service
  • Assist with arranging client meetings and preparing for reviews
  • Conduct research and gather information relating to client financial circumstances, objectives, and existing arrangements
  • Assist in the preparation of financial planning reports and recommendations covering pensions, investments, protection, and estate planning
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Develop knowledge of financial products, legislation, and market developments relevant to clients' financial planning needs
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with FCA regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles in all client interactions
  • Work towards achieving relevant professional qualifications and maintaining up-to-date CPD records
  • Support the achievement of team and business objectives through proactive and professional working practices
  • Drive your own development by taking ownership of progress, and seeking out learning opportunities

What we are looking for in our ideal Junior Independent Financial Adviser:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, approachability, and professionalism
  • Strong IT skills
  • Well presented, articulate, dedicated, and highly professional, having experience of, and the gravitas to, build relationships
  • Comfortable working with Affinity groups, business owners, Entrepreneurs, professional and retail clients
