Role Description

The Junior Fleet Administrator will support the effective day-to-day management of the company’s fleet, ensuring vehicles and related services are efficiently coordinated and documented. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate records of fleet usage, service schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Processing vehicle-related paperwork.
  • Assisting with booking maintenance, repairs, MOTs, and inspections.
  • Liaising with internal teams, drivers, and external suppliers to resolve queries, monitor costs, and support fleet performance.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Preston Area, working closely with the wider operations and administration teams to provide reliable, timely support.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to review fleet data, identify patterns, and support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations and fleet services, including scheduling, maintenance coordination, and compliance tracking.
  • Understanding of fleet management principles, such as cost control, vehicle lifecycle management, and safety standards.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, drivers, and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Excel, Word, fleet management systems) and accurate data entry.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience in an administrative or operations support role is beneficial; prior exposure to fleet or transport environments is an advantage.
  • Commitment to safe working practices and adherence to company policies and relevant regulations.
