Role Description
The Junior Garment Technologist will support the technical development of lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear, ensuring that products meet fit, quality, and construction standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Assisting with garment fittings
- Updating technical specifications
- Checking samples against size and quality requirements
- Liaising with designers and production teams to resolve construction or fit issues

The role involves monitoring product quality throughout the development process, reviewing fabrics and trims for suitability, and helping to implement improvements based on feedback from fittings and customer requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Harrogate, working closely with the wider team in a workshop and office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of Garment Construction and Fitting, with the ability to interpret patterns and technical drawings.
- Understanding of Quality Control processes, including checking samples, measuring garments, and identifying technical issues.
- Basic knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, stretch and recovery, and suitability for intimate apparel and swimwear.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with designers, machinists, suppliers, and other internal teams.
- Relevant qualification in fashion technology, garment technology, textiles, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy for measurements, and proficiency with standard office software; experience with pattern or CAD systems is an advantage.
- Organized, proactive approach, with the ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and manage tasks to meet production timelines.
- Interest in lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear and a desire to build a career in garment technology.
