Junior Graphic Designer
Housr | Manchester | Full time
Location: Manchester city centre, four days per week in the office, with Thursday normally from home
Contract type: Full time
Reporting to: Global Head of Marketing, with a dotted line into the Graphic Designer
Working hours: Standard UK hours, with occasional flexibility to work a later shift such as 11.30am to 7.30pm for US collaboration or campaign needs
The role
We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to join Housr's global creative and marketing team. Based in our Manchester city centre office four days a week, with work from home on Thursdays, you'll play a key role in supporting our global brand marketing across the UK and US. A particular focus will be creating design material for university students and college partnerships in the US market.
Your work will span direct-to-student creative and materials that support our B2B relationships with universities, property partners and brand partners. Given the US focus, there may occasionally be a need to work later hours, such as 11.30am to 7.30pm, to create more overlap with the US team during busy campaign periods. This will be infrequent and planned in advance.

- Executing creative briefs: Produce high-quality graphic assets for print and digital media, following Housr's global brand guidelines.
- Designing for online and offline channels: Create engaging designs for formats including digital on-campus screens, posters, flyers, social graphics and banners.
- Supporting B2B and partnership materials: Review and polish pitch decks, partnership presentations and sales collateral for university and institutional stakeholders, ensuring a consistent and professional finish.
- Producing event and outreach collateral: Create materials for university outreach, education fairs, conferences and partnership events, including booth graphics, printed handouts and digital assets.
- Collaborating with the team: Work closely with the global marketing team, Graphic Designer and Product Designer to deliver strong, consistent work.
- Using design software: Work primarily in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, producing all designs to a professional standard.
- Motion graphics: Experience is not essential, but would be useful.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
