Junior Healthcare Equity Research Analyst
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Healthcare Equity Research Analyst to join a leading investment team to support coverage on Pharma companies. The role offers the opportunity to develop deep sector expertise while working closely with experienced investors and contributing to the investment decision-making process.
The successful candidate will conduct fundamental company research, financial analysis, industry due diligence, and support the generation of investment ideas across the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
- Conduct fundamental research on publicly listed healthcare companies.
- Analyse earnings results, company announcements, industry developments, and regulatory updates.
- Support the development and maintenance of investment theses.
- Prepare research notes, company reports, presentations, and investment materials.
- Monitor news flow and identify developments relevant to covered companies.
- Analyse scientific publications, clinical trial data, and healthcare industry trends.
- Perform market, competitor, and industry analysis.
- Assist with management meetings, conferences, and expert network calls.
- Contribute to idea generation through independent research and analysis.

Candidate Requirements
- 1-4 years of experience within Sell-Side Equity Research.
- Experience covering Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related sector is preferred.
- Strong academic background with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a scientific discipline, including:
- Biology
- Biochemistry
- Biotechnology
- Pharmacology
- Biomedical Sciences
- Medicine
- Chemistry
- Life Sciences
- Related Scientific Field
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and quantitative skills.
- Ability to interpret scientific literature and complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Additional Skills
- Proficiency in an Asian language is considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare investing and financial markets.
