Junior IFS Finance Consultant

UK based with travel to client site as required.

Our client is a growing ERP consultancy looking to expand its Finance Consulting team with the addition of a Junior IFS Finance Consultant.

This role is ideal for someone with experience using IFS within a finance environment who is looking to take the next step in their career. Whether you've supported IFS internally, been involved in projects, or worked within an ERP support function, this opportunity offers the chance to develop your consulting skills in a supportive environment.

The business is committed to investing in its people, providing ongoing training, mentoring and clear opportunities to progress into Consultant and Senior Consultant roles over time.

The Role

You'll support the delivery of finance-focused ERP projects, gaining exposure to different stages of the implementation lifecycle while developing your technical and consulting skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting finance workstreams across ERP implementation and improvement projects
  • Assisting with requirements gathering and business process discussions
  • Supporting system configuration, testing and user acceptance activities
  • Helping to deliver user training and customer workshops
  • Providing functional support and guidance to customers
  • Building your knowledge of IFS Finance functionality and consulting best practice

As your experience develops, you'll take on greater responsibility and become more involved in customer-facing activities and project delivery.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has a good understanding of finance processes and previous exposure to IFS.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working in a finance, finance systems or ERP support role
  • Exposure to IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud
  • An understanding of core finance processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn and develop

Previous consulting experience isn't required. More important is an interest in building a career within ERP consulting and the ability to learn quickly.
