About Sinara

Sinara is a well-established software house based in London, offering software development services and products to exchanges, financial institutions, and market data vendors. We provide robust technical expertise and adopt a pragmatic, flexible approach to delivering and supporting business-critical IT systems.

Engineering and technology is at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer with a Cloud infrastructure focus to join our Technology Operations team and help us build, maintain, and improve our systems.

You will become part of a close-knit Tech Ops team of 13 professionals spanning Infrastructure, Application Support, and DevOps. If you want to pursue a career in IT infrastructure working within a software company with technically literate colleagues, you might like to apply to join us as our Junior Infrastructure Engineer.

About the role

This is a varied and challenging role within our IT team to work with our IT Director to manage and maintain the infrastructure described below. It is an opportunity to focus on Cloud infrastructure and become a subject matter expert within the company.

The Junior Infrastructure Engineer role will acquire knowledge of system and application software, networking and hardware and so will suit someone with a broad enthusiasm within IT, possibly someone who is looking for a step up in their IT infrastructure career. You will need to communicate both with Sinara’s own users and occasionally with external clients. Such contact will in general be with technically literate users. Extensive training will be provided as required.

Infrastructure:

  • Our development and operational activities require a significant IT infrastructure – in our office, hosted at a major London data centre, and also in the cloud. We use a wide range of technology, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, Hyper V, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, AWS, Azure, and we make extensive use of SQL Server and PostGreSQL databases.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
