Company Description
Cave Interiors is an interior design practice based in Primrose Hill, London, specializing in high-end residential projects across London and throughout the UK. The studio delivers an end-to-end service covering design concepts, architectural remodelling, and detailed space planning. Projects typically include bespoke furniture and joinery design, integrated colour, lighting, and furnishing schemes, as well as build coordination and procurement.
The team is known for its highly considered restoration projects in listed buildings and for its thoughtful, detail-driven approach and close collaboration with clients and suppliers.
Role Description
The Junior Interior Designer will have had at least one to two years minimum experience working towards a mid weight role in order to support the design team adequately. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing and updating construction drawings, and supporting architectural remodelling proposals under guidance from senior designers. The role involves scheduling all products incl. architectural mouldings, sanitary ware, wall and floor finishes, FF&E, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate project documentation. The designer will contribute to site visits, surveys, and design reviews, helping ensure design intent is maintained throughout the build process. Strong AutoCAD skills are vital.

This is a full-time role based at our studio in Primrose Hill, London, requiring close collaboration with the Cave Interiors team and clients.

Qualifications
- Strong foundational skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
- Working knowledge of Architecture and understanding of residential design principles and building layouts.
- Ability to produce and revise Construction Drawings using AutoCAD.
- Experience or training in FF&E scheduling, including sanitary ware, floor & wall finishes, fabrics, lighting, and bespoke joinery etc.
- Relevant design education e.g., degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field is a must.
- Strong visual and technical communication skills, including presentation creation and clear documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks within project timelines.
- Comfort working on-site, attending meetings, and conducting surveys with a collaborative and professional approach.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required; familiarity with UK building regulations and construction processes is beneficial.
