The role

We are looking for a Junior / Graduate Interior Designer & Interior Stylist to join our growing team in Perivale. This is an opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career designer with a strong eye for interiors, furniture and styling to build hands-on experience across live residential and commercial projects.

Working closely with our Design, Sales, Operations and Installation teams, you will help turn client briefs into practical, well-presented interior schemes. The role combines creative concept work with furniture sourcing, styling, client presentations and day-to-day project coordination.

You will support larger schemes while taking ownership of your own workstreams as your confidence and experience grow. We are looking for someone who is curious, organised and genuinely interested in how a space feels, functions and comes together.

About Base Furnishings

Base Furnishings is a London-based furniture and interior design company delivering furniture packages, bespoke concepts and complete interior schemes for property developers, Build to Rent (BTR) and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) operators, estate agents, private investors and selected commercial clients.

Our work covers show homes, rental developments, student accommodation, communal areas and residential projects. We bring creative design and commercial delivery together to create interiors that meet each client’s brief, budget and programme.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with furniture and interior schemes for residential, BTR, PBSA and selected commercial projects.
  • Interpret client briefs and help develop creative concepts that work within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Create moodboards, furniture layouts, styling concepts and client presentation packs with support from the Design Team.
  • Research and source furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, artwork and accessories from approved suppliers.
  • Support the preparation of FF&E schedules, product specifications and quotations in collaboration with the Sales Team.
  • Prepare samples, product information and presentation materials for client meetings and internal reviews.
  • Present ideas clearly to colleagues and clients, and communicate design information with suppliers and delivery teams.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits and installations when required, helping to ensure the finished space reflects the agreed scheme.
  • Keep project files, product libraries, supplier information, schedules and meeting notes accurate and well organised.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Design, Sales, Operations and Installation while developing your commercial design and project delivery knowledge.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
