Are you a recent Economics, Finance or related degree graduate with a passion for investments and financial markets?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Investment Analyst to join a well-established and growing financial services organisation. This role offers an excellent entry point into investment management, providing hands-on exposure to fund research, market analysis, portfolio monitoring and investment strategy development.
Whether this is your first role after university or your second position within financial services, you will work alongside experienced investment professionals who will support your development and help you build a successful long-term career in the industry.
The Opportunity
As a Junior Investment Analyst, you’ll support the investment team with research, analysis and portfolio administration activities. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of investment products and play a key role in helping the team assess investment opportunities and maintain high-quality investment propositions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical investment knowledge, analytical skills and understanding of financial markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research across a range of investment products, including:
- OEICs and Unit Trusts
- Investment Trusts
- ETFs
- Model Portfolio Services (MPS)
- Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs)
- Pension and Life Funds
- Investment Platforms
- Assist with fund selection and performance monitoring.
- Support the enhancement and ongoing management of model portfolios.
- Prepare investment research reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Monitor financial markets and industry developments.
- Assist in the production of market commentary and performance updates.
- Analyse fund performance data and identify trends.
- Maintain accurate research records and investment documentation.
- Support administration activities across investment platforms.
- Respond to internal investment-related queries.
- Develop an understanding of investment software and research tools.
About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have a genuine interest in investments and financial markets.
You May Be
- A recent graduate in Economics, Finance, Investment Management, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Working towards a career in investment research or portfolio management.
- Looking for your first or second role within investment management, wealth management or financial services.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Degree educated (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong interest in investment markets and fund research.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and organised approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous internship, placement year or work experience within an investment, wealth management or financial services environment.
- IMC qualification or an interest in studying towards professional investment qualifications.
