Junior IT Developer

Hours

  • 37.5 hours, full-time, Monday-Friday

Start date

  • As soon as possible – subject to notice period

Reporting to

  • Head of Technology

Rate of Pay

  • £35,000 - £42,000 per annum FTE (dependant on experience)

Location

  • This role is remote; however, you will need to be easily able to travel to London if required.

Dr Julian is an innovative online mental health care provider connecting individuals directly to highly trained qualified therapists seamlessly via video, audio and instant messaging.

Our aim is to empower individuals, enabling them to select a therapist of their choice and have an appointment at a time and place convenient for them.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage workload appropriately
  • Minimum of 1 year JavaScript experience
  • Familiarity with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular & React. Angular is a plus
  • Familiarity with server-side languages Node.js
  • Familiarity with SQL relational database technology. PostgreSQL is a plus
  • CI/CD pipeline automation experience
  • Some experience with the core AWS services is a plus
  • Familiarity with GIT source control
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail

As a Junior IT Developer, you will be:

  • Supporting the Senior IT developers with the complete software development process from conception to deployment
  • Assisting in maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment
  • Assisting the IT Team with the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications
  • Overseeing and guiding the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software
  • Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs
