Junior IT Recruitment Consultant
Location: Tilbrook, Milton Keynes – Hybrid working – You will typically work, 3 office days per week, 2 from home.
Working Hours: 9am to 5.30pm
Salary: £25,000–£30,000, depending on experience, plus monthly commission

Identifi Global is looking for a Junior IT Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team in Milton Keynes.

The opportunity
You will initially focus on candidate resourcing and engagement. We will assess your experience, strengths and development needs before creating a structured training and progression plan.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you will have the opportunity to progress towards a Recruitment Consultant position.
Your initial responsibilities
- Source candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, our internal database, referrals and professional networks
- Identify and approach suitable candidates through targeted headhunting
- Write, publish and manage online job advertisements
- Conduct initial candidate conversations and screening interviews
- Understand candidates’ experience, motivations and career objectives
- Maintain accurate candidate and activity records within our recruitment system
- Build relationships with candidates across specialist technology markets
- Coordinate interviews and maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process
- Obtain and communicate constructive candidate and client feedback
- Support consultants with market mapping, talent-pool development and vacancy delivery
- Contribute ideas that improve our candidate and client experience
- Follow relevant data protection, equality and recruitment compliance requirements

Progression into Recruitment Consulting position
A Recruitment Consultant manages the complete recruitment lifecycle. As you progress, your responsibilities may expand to include:
- Business development and new-client generation
- Account management and relationship development
- Client meetings and vacancy qualification
- Candidate sourcing and assessment
- Salary and contractor-rate negotiation
- Interview and recruitment process management
- Offer, placement and onboarding management
- Commercial pipeline management and forecasting
- Developing specialist market knowledge
- Achieving agreed revenue and performance objectives
Progression will be based on your capability, performance and readiness, supported by clear objectives, regular coaching and practical experience.
Essential skills and attributes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence engaging with people by telephone, video and in person
- A professional, honest and customer-focused approach
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to manage several priorities and work at pace
- Self-motivation, resilience and a willingness to learn
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, AI, Outlook and other digital systems
- The ability to learn new technology, processes and market terminology
- A genuine interest in people, careers and relationship building
- The communication and personal discipline needed to work effectively in a hybrid environment
Desirable experience
Any of the following would be helpful but is not essential:
- Recruitment, resourcing, sales or customer-service experience
- Experience using job boards, LinkedIn or social media professionally
- Knowledge of IT, cyber security, data, digital or business-change roles
- Experience working within a target-led environment
- A-level qualifications, equivalent vocational education or relevant workplace experience
- Previous use of a recruitment CRM or applicant-tracking system
