A bit about us
Brunning & Price and Acorn Pubs look after around 90 pubs across England and Wales. We're known for good food, proper beer, bookshelves and dogs curled up under tables. Behind every one of those pubs sits a technology estate built largely in-house, and we're a hospitality business with a software team rather than a traditional IT department, which makes us a genuinely interesting place to build your career.
The role
We're looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to join our small, friendly IT team at head office. It's a hands-on, varied role, ideal for someone early in their IT career who wants broad exposure, from desktop support and Microsoft 365 administration through to patching, basic networking and cloud technologies. You'll work closely with our IT Manager and our managed service provider, and you'll occasionally travel out to our pubs to support the equipment that keeps them running. You'll be involved in:

- Being a friendly first point of contact for IT queries from colleagues at head office and across our pubs, logging and working through tickets alongside our MSP
- Supporting and troubleshooting Windows and macOS desktops and laptops
- Administering Microsoft 365, including user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint and licences
- Carrying out routine patching and updates across our devices
- Setting up hardware for new starters and managing the joiner, mover and leaver process
- Helping with basic networking tasks such as Wi-Fi, switches, cabling and connectivity
- Travelling occasionally to our pubs to install, maintain and fix on-site kit like tills, back-office PCs and networking equipment
- Keeping our documentation, asset registers and knowledge base up to date
- Working closely with the IT Manager and our suppliers on trickier issues
What we're looking for
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
- A working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
- An understanding of software patching and update management
- Basic networking knowledge
- A methodical, customer-focused approach to troubleshooting
- Clear communication, with the patience to explain technical things to non-technical colleagues
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to our pubs when needed

Nice to have: exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms, and experience supporting EPOS/till systems or hospitality environments.
Who you'll be working with
You'll join a small, friendly IT team with a wide remit, working closely with our IT Manager, and genuine room to grow as you build your experience.
Your bread and butter
- Basic salary: up to £32,000 + 10% company discretionary bonus
