The Role
We are looking for a Junior Java Software Developer to join Fasanara Digital and contribute to systems supporting our 24/7 trading activity, with guidance from experienced engineers. The role will focus on contributing to the development and maintenance of our multi-venue collateral management platform, alongside new reference data and accounting infrastructure supporting both digital assets and traditional financial markets. This is a hands-on engineering role within a small, high-performing team, with opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues. You will work on well-defined tasks across both new development and existing production systems, helping to build new functionality and maintain and improve established code. We are looking for a self-starter who takes initiative, follows through on tasks, and asks for guidance when needed. Experience in financial services, trading, banking, or digital assets is welcome but not required. We are interested in candidates with a solid foundation in Java development and a willingness to learn about our systems and markets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
