We are adding a Junior JavaScript Developer to our team to help build and maintain functional internal tools.

Currently, we are working on a specific project for a client in London that involves building a custom dashboard to manage their logistics data. This role is a chance to learn how to build software that real people use to do their jobs every day, rather than chasing flashy consumer trends. You will work closely with our senior team to write clean code, test features, and ensure that different business systems are talking to each other correctly. This is a full-time, permanent position and is fully remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small software agency that builds the practical tools that teams actually need to function. We do not do marketing sites or experimental apps. We focus on the unglamorous but essential work: admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients usually come to us when their spreadsheets have become too complex to manage or when their various software platforms refuse to sync up.

We believe that working code is much more valuable than a perfect plan that stays in a document. Our approach is direct. We provide fixed quotes, perform weekly demos so the client always knows where we are, and hand over everything (code, documentation, and video walkthroughs) when we finish a project. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we value stability. We are a senior team of developers and designers who prefer solving operational headaches over following the latest industry hype.

The Role

In this position, you will spend most of your time writing and debugging JavaScript. You will not be building flashy animations; instead, you will be ensuring that a warehouse manager can see their inventory levels accurately or that a sales team can sync their leads between two different platforms. You will assist in moving data between systems, cleaning up legacy code that has become hard to maintain, and building out new features for internal admin panels. We work in a fully remote setup, so clear communication through writing and documentation is a major part of the day-to-day workflow. This is a paid position, and the compensation is competitive for the entry-level market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you bring

  • A solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals. You do not need to be a master, but you should know how to work with variables, loops, and functions.
  • A curious mindset. When something does not work, you are willing to dig into the documentation or search for the answer until you understand why.
  • Strong organizational skills. You can keep track of your tasks and update the team on your progress without needing a manager to hover over you.
  • The ability to write clearly. Since we are a remote team, being able to explain a technical problem or a solution in a written message is vital.
  • A focus on utility. You should be someone who finds satisfaction in making a system run 10 percent faster or making a data entry form easier for a user to complete.
  • A willingness to work on legacy code. Sometimes we have to fix old systems before we can build new ones, and you should be comfortable with that reality.
  • Reliability. When you say you will have a task done by the weekly demo, we can count on you to have it ready or to let us know early if there is a blocker.

Working at Pixel Systems

Working here is different from a typical corporate environment. We have no middle management and no long meetings that could have been emails. We value your time and expect you to do the same for the rest of the team. Because we are a remote company, we prioritize results and clear documentation over office politics. You will get to see the immediate result of your work as it helps warehouse managers, ops teams, and small business owners solve their biggest frustrations. We are a small, stable team that values honesty and straightforwardness. We do not expect you to know everything on day one, but we do expect you to be ready to learn and contribute to the team effort.

We maintain a culture where the best idea wins, regardless of who it comes from. If you prefer a quiet, focused environment where the goal is to build software that actually works, you will fit in well here. We focus on getting the job done right so that when we hand over the final product, the client is happy and the code is easy to maintain for years to come.
