We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Legal Cashier to join our Finance team based in St Albans.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within legal finance. No prior legal cashiering experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Cashiering Support
- Assist with processing transactions, banking, payments, and account reconciliations
- Accurately post receipts and payments while maintaining financial records and documentation
Administrative Support
- Respond to finance queries and assist with invoices, expenses, and month-end tasks
- Maintain organised digital and physical finance records
Compliance & Controls
- Follow financial procedures, SRA Accounts Rules, and internal policies
- Escalate discrepancies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Team Support
- Collaborate with the Finance team and provide general administrative support
- Assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills
- Comfortable working with financial data and numbers
- Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Previous experience in finance, accounts, banking, or office administration (desirable)
- Experience within a professional services environment (desirable)
