We are working with a specialist legal costs firm to find a Legal Costs Draftsperson / Costs Professional for an early to mid-career opportunity on a fully remote basis.
Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join a boutique, specialist legal costs firm as part of a planned growth phase. This role is ideal for someone at the early stage of their legal costs career who wants real responsibility, structured development, and a clear progression pathway, rather than being one of many in a large department. The firm operates a fully remote model and places a strong emphasis on quality, accountability, and long-term development.
The Role
You will join a small but growing costs team, working closely with the Director and taking ownership of files while being supported through hands-on training and 1 to 1 coaching. This is not a finished article role; it's designed for someone who wants to grow into a more senior position over time, with the potential to step into team lead responsibilities as the firm continues to expand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
