Envoy Global is a proven innovator in the global immigration space. Our mission combines our industry-leading tech platform with holistic service to streamline, simplify and expedite the immigration process for employers and individuals.

We have an opening within Envoy's growing Legal team for a Junior Legal Counsel to join us on a full-time basis. This role provides legal support to the in-house legal team across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA, applying a sound grounding in legal concepts and legal research to advise internal teams on straightforward matters and to assist, under supervision, on more complex matters. The role negotiates and drafts a range of commercial contracts, including in German, and coordinates with internal stakeholders to gather facts and timelines for legal projects, tracks matters through to resolution, and flags issues requiring senior input. The role requires adaptability, sound judgement on when to escalate, and the ability to work across different legal systems and languages.

Responsibilities

As an International Junior Legal Counsel, you will assist in managing legal matters related to our global subsidiary entities as we continue to grow organically and through M&A, including:

  • Advise internal teams and triage requests. Serve as a first point of contact for internal legal queries; provide clear, practical advice on straightforward matters using approved guidance, playbooks and precedent, and identify and escalate more complex or high-risk matters to senior counsel with a recommended course of action.
  • Assist on complex matters under supervision. Support senior counsel on complex or novel legal matters and projects; carry out preparatory analysis, draft initial positions and options, and help implement agreed strategy, working within clearly defined supervision and escalation lines.
  • Negotiate and draft contracts, including in German. Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs and related agreements, including with German-speaking counterparties, adapting company templates and precedent to the deal at hand, and flag any departure from approved positions to senior counsel before agreeing terms.
  • Track matters and coordinate stakeholder engagement. Maintain trackers and dashboards reflecting the lifecycle status of contracts, renewals and corporate filings across multiple jurisdictions, and alert stakeholders to upcoming deadlines and required actions; engage with internal stakeholders across jurisdictions to gather facts, documents and timelines for legal matters and projects, and follow up on outstanding information to keep matters on schedule.
  • Provide practical legal input to commercial and operational teams. Respond to day-to-day legal queries from commercial, finance and operational stakeholders; explain legal concepts in clear business language, and route matters requiring senior input to the appropriate lawyer.
  • Conduct legal research and produce practical advice. Perform legal research on statutes, regulations, case law and industry guidance relevant to ongoing matters; identify risks and key developments, and translate findings into clear, structured advice for internal stakeholders and senior counsel, including issue framing, citations and practical implications for the business.
  • Improve contract templates and playbooks. Identify opportunities to improve contract templates, clause libraries and negotiation playbooks; propose process improvements that reduce turnaround time and improve consistency across jurisdictions.
  • Provide corporate governance support. Assist with maintaining corporate records and statutory registers across multiple jurisdictions, preparing routine resolutions and filings, organizing board materials, and ensuring governance documents are accurate, up to date, and properly stored. Assist with annual compliance tasks under attorney supervision. Assist with responding to KYC and due-diligence requests by preparing corporate information packs, coordinating cross-functional input, and ensuring accurate, timely submissions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
