Junior Legionella Risk Assessor - Covering Cambridge, Norfolk & Suffolk
Are you looking to develop your career in Water Hygiene? This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing team as a Junior Legionella Risk Assessor, where you'll receive training, gain valuable industry experience, and play an important role in helping our business succeed.
As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, dependable and flexible individual with previous water hygiene or water treatment experience to join our Water Hygiene Team. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a competent Legionella Risk Assessor.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will receive training and support to undertake Legionella risk assessments, assist with written scheme audits and internal quality checks, and develop your knowledge of a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial water systems. As your experience grows, you will take on increasing responsibility and work more independently.
Due to the nature of the role, regular travel throughout Cambridge, Norfolk, Suffolk and Bedfordshire will be required.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Legionella risk assessment of water systems
- Audits of management and planned preventative monitoring regimes
- Carry out general water hygiene tasks i.e. water outlet flushing, temperature check, sampling
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience working within the water hygiene or water treatment industry
- Understanding of ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS 8580
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to successfully pass an Enhanced DBS check and MOD security clearance
Desirable (training can be provided):
- City & Guilds qualification in Legionella Risk Assessment
- Knowledge of complex water systems, including water softeners, vehicle wash systems and industrial process water systems
- Experience carrying out written scheme of control audits
- Competent report writing skills
